Complexes of o-hydroxyacetophenone phenoxyacetylhydrazone (H2OAPA) structure(I, II). with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and UO2(IV) have been prepared and characterized on the basis of chemical analyses, molar conductivitiesmeasurements, spectral (IR, 1H NMR,UV-Vis), andmagnetic moment. IR and 1H NMR spectral data show that (H2OAPA) behaves as a neutral bidentate and mononegative or binegative tridentate ligand. All the reported complexes are non-electrolytes and different stereo-chemistries are proposed for the Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes according to their magnetic and spectral measurements.
